8-5-21 THOUGHTS

Good Morning my loved ones.  Morning is a good time of the day.  Things start then.  The sun will rise in an hour or so.  Thank you Lord for rest and life and HOPE.  We have a reason to live!   It’s a time for me, to think in the Lord.  How pleasant to start a day that way.

God challenges Job and puts Job in his place.
“Then the LORD said to Job, 2  "Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who reproves God answer it." 3  Then Job answered the LORD and said, 4  "Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You? I lay my hand on my mouth. 5  "Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; Even twice, and I will add nothing more."  Job 40:1-5
One of the questions God put before Job is found in  Job 38:12
"Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, [And] caused the dawn to know its place”?

The glories of the rising sun and the order of all creation are from God.
Ps 97:6   The heavens declare  His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory.
Ps 5:3  In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to  You and eagerly watch.   [see joy and expectation here]
Ps 30:5  For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
Ps 59:16  But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your  lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.

Ps 88:13  But I, O LORD, have cried out to You for help, And in the morning my prayer comes before You.
Ps 130:6   My soul [waits] for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; [Indeed, more than] the watchmen for the morning.       [see joy and expectation here]
Lam 3:21-26      This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. 22  The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.   23  They are new every morning;   Great is Your faithfulness. 24  "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him." 25  The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. 26  It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the LORD.
Mark 1:35   In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house,] and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.

My Prayer:
Thank you O Lord for the renewal of each day.  Renew us and revive us each day O God.  May we be renewed in the spirit of our minds and may we serve you with gladness.  Help us to wait quietly for your salvation O Lord, as our world whirls in violent, confused activity.  May we set our minds on things above,  not on the things of this earth.
In the name of our Lord Jesus        Amen
